SFP, an acronym for Summer Founders Program, is the latest initiative by E-Cell towards promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship in the institute. The first SFP
was held in April-June 2006. The program is meant to provide an
integrated support system to the students of IIT Bombay who aspire to
convert an idea into an enterprise this summers.
Who can participate?
Summer Founders Program
is only open for IIT Bombay students. Students from all levels of
education and from any department at IIT Bombay can participate in SFP.
When does it happen?
SFP
lectures start in April. This is followed by submission of a B-plan. A
one month Mentoring is given to the selected teams in May, followed by
the final presentation in June first week.
Why participate?
SFP
is a great way to utilize your summer holidays by taking your business
ideas to the next level. SFP includes mentoring from well known
entrepreneurs and faculty. You are also given an opportunity to present
your business plan to Venture Capitalists, who may consider funding
your plan.
