Ideaz

• What is Ideaz?
  • Ideaz is 'The Pan-IIT Business Idea Competition' organized by E-Cell, IIT Bombay in association with various organizations in different IITs.
  • Ideaz is designed to help students generate ideas which have the potential to be successful enterprises. It is intended to encourage a broad range of IIT undergraduates and graduate students to flesh out their ideas in business terms and form teams that combine technology and business strengths.
• Who can participate?
  • Students from all the seven IITs at all levels of education and from any department are eligible to enter.
• When does it happen?
  • Ideaz 2010 was launched on August 7 2006 with an inaugural workshop by Mr. Kishore Biyani, CEO Pantaloons. Registrations start on 15th August 2010. The final presentation will be held on October 1st 2010.
• Why participate?
  • The benefits of participating in Ideaz is that the teams put themselves in a better position to take a step further in commercializing their idea because different issues involved in planning a business have been looked after.
  • Also, The top 10 entries will be provided intensive mentoring to refine their entries with a broader market perspective along with modification of their idea into a prescribed b-plan format.
